Description
The CAPDRIVE is a network control unit and fulfils the following functions:
The computer accomplishes communication by using the serial RS232-C interface and handshake protocol. The computer views the network as a single ASCII terminal
24 V DC power supply for the terminals. The central power supply has many advantages:
- Stable voltage supply
- Safe voltage range
- Price efficient solution und ideal when associated with an UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply)
- Polling of the terminals over a maximum of 4 galvanically separated network cables
